Robert Keyte’s family have been producing high quality Men’s Neckwear and Accessories since 1936, with a portfolio featuring the Classical English look, (known as Macclesfield Neats), as well as a range of more contemporary designs.
Prints are Real Ancient Madders, hand screen printed on a 30oz Pure Silk or Dye and Discharge printed on to 36oz and 50oz Silk Twill. The Macclesfield mill remains one of the few surviving printers capable of this method of printing.
Weaves are Jacquard woven using silk thread from China, de-gummed and dyed in Macclesfield. Unlike many competitors who replace the 25% weight lost during de-gumming by adding mineral salts, our Silk is 100% Pure.
Both the printed and woven silk fabrics are produced in Macclesfield, the traditional home of UK silk for many centuries and still globally recognised for its unique quality. Ties are then hand-crafted in the picturesque village of Bodiam in East Sussex.
Customers continue to be reassured by the fact that all products, including a range of elegant handkerchiefs are created using only Pure Silk, printed or woven in the Borough of Macclesfield, Cheshire, England, as well as by the pedigree, heritage, quality and craftsmanship which has defined the Robert Keyte brand for generations.
